n7player - Frequently Asked Questions

Please try in the following order:

  1. Make sure that you have downloaded the n7player and n7player unlocker from the Google Play
  2. Turn on any data connection
  3. Open the unlocker app
  4. Clear the cache/data of Google Play and Google Play Services
  5. Make sure that within Google Play you are logged in to the same account on which you have purchased n7player (if you have multiple accounts make sure that the one which purchased n7player unlocker is selected as main one on the Google Play)
  6. Enable background data (if you have that option in system)
  7. Clear the cache/data of the n7player
  8. Reinstall n7player Unlocker
  9. If you have any antivirus/firewall software make sure that it does not block internet access and interferes communication between n7player and n7player Unlocker
  10. Reinstall n7player

If you still have the issue, please go into Options, About, Troubleshooting, select Unlocker / payment not recognized and send us the report it generates.

The n7player album art cache is probably corrupted. Please delete the folder /sdcard/n7player (it will be regenerated after app restart, some album arts may disappear)

You can change the notification background between light and dark in Interface options. The option is called Notification Theme.

There is a several things which can be done, all are found in advanced playback options:

  1. Enable Audio Proxy - this will bypass small internal buffers of android audio output
  2. Disable/Enable 10-band Equalizer - 5 band and 10 band EQ uses different processing libraries. In general, we recommend having the 10 band equalizer option enabled, but sometimes disabling it can improve audio quality.

n7player have automatic merge feature, which tries to find the compilations and merged them into single artist. You can disable this feature by turning off library option: automatically merge compilations. Please do the full rescan after doing that.

We know that we've made a hefty ammount of changes, but please give the n7p 3.0 a chance! But if you still does not like it, grab the latest 2.x APK here. Rembember to disable automatic updates for this app before doing that.

Yes, that's because we no longer support them. If you purchased skin from us, you should have 3.0 themes unlocked. But if you still want to use your skin, please downgrade to 2.x using this old APK here. Rembember to disable automatic updates for this app before doing that.

Make sure that you've enabled headphones buttons option in n7player. Also, make sure that you have DISABLED that function, or function similar to that, in other music players. Unfortunately, on Android all applications that can get events for headphones "fight" for the headphones contol. Also, we have an info that reinstalling n7player is a good workaround (especially if you are using Bluetooth headsets).

It is possible that update has been corrupted. Please try reinstalling n7player (uninstall and install again). In most cases that resolves that issue.

If you have paid for n7p unlocker you should have all features previously unlocked still unlocked. If not (for examply you are seeing ads, please go to Q/A number 1).

The app is telling you that you can pay 0.99$ for generally two new features:

  1. improved smart playlists
  2. theme manager
